What We Believe

Network Churches may come from different cultures, traditions, and denominational backgrounds, but every church within Bethesda Global Network affirms this shared Statement of Faith.
BGN is united around these foundational beliefs while each local church retains its own culture, traditions, governance, and ministry rhythms.
The BGN Statement of Faith
Nine convictions we hold together.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Salvation
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every Christian and enables the believer to live a godly life, and through whom spiritual gifts are given and remain in operation in the Church today.
Fivefold Ministry
We believe in the present ministry of the ascension gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.
The Ministry of All Believers
We believe in the ministry of the saints: that all believers should be equipped for the work of the Kingdom of God, whether in the Church, the marketplace, or any sphere of influence to which God has called them.
The Unity of Believers
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Resurrection and Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved to the resurrection of life, and those who are lost to the resurrection of condemnation.

BGN is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, and multi-generational family of churches. Our Network Churches may differ in culture, tradition, and ministry expression, but our shared convictions provide a foundation for covenant relationship, mutual service, and Kingdom mission.
Shared faith is foundational to shared relationship. Churches seeking to become part of Bethesda Global Network are asked to affirm BGN's Statement of Faith as part of the process of becoming a Network Church.
