Who We Are

A network of churches, pastors, and leaders — across nations, languages, and generations.

Bethesda Global Network (BGN) is a global network of Christian churches, ministries, pastors, and leaders connected to Bethesda Community Church in Fort Worth, Texas — a congregation established in 1934.

BGN exists to build meaningful covenant relationships among churches and leaders, and to expand the Kingdom of God around the world through the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit.

One Church. 100 Locations. One family of faith, gathering in cities and nations across the earth.

Around the world, pastors are shepherding faithful churches — often alone. The vision of Bethesda Global Network is a family of one hundred churches: one in faith, one in mission, one in spirit — each fulfilling God's calling in its own community.

This unity is spiritual, relational, missional, and theological — the unity of churches of like faith, working together in covenant relationship.

What a Network Church is — and is not

  • Not a branch campus. A BGN Network Church remains autonomous and self-governing — keeping its own leadership, governance, finances, property, culture, traditions, and ministry rhythms.
  • Not a denomination. BGN is a network of relationship — churches and leaders of like faith walking together, not an organization that owns or operates them.
  • Not a new name — unless you choose it. Some churches carry the Bethesda name. Many keep the names and identities God has already given them — churches like Vino Nuevo and Amor y Restauración.

A passionate advocate for the global mission of the Church, he has traveled to more than 45 nations seeking to inspire spiritual reformation and Kingdom advancement.

Pastor Álvaro Matehuala leads Bethesda Global Network under the leadership and oversight of Dr. Wayman Ming Jr. With 44 years of ministry experience, he has pastored congregations in both Mexico and the United States and has spent decades serving, mentoring, and strengthening pastors and ministries across nations.
