Pastor Álvaro Matehuala

Pastor Álvaro Matehuala has served in ministry for 44 years.

During his ministerial career, he has pastored various congregations in Mexico and the United States.

In 2010, together with a group of businessmen, he helped found Christian International House of Prayer, a ministry that operated in Colleyville, Texas, for 15 years.

In 2014, he began traveling with evangelist Stephen Evans, helping develop conferences centered on intercession for leaders, teachers, and pastors.

In 2016, he formally received an invitation to serve as Director of Intercession for Light of Life International. Through that ministry he has served alongside the evangelist and ministry team in Mexico, Central America, South America, and Africa.

Álvaro and his wife, Linda, have also spent several years mentoring ministries in the United States, Mexico, and Central America.

In December 2024, Álvaro and Linda were called to pastor Bethesda Español. From there, they began developing a network of churches in the United States, Mexico, Honduras, and Peru.

That work has developed into the present ministry of Bethesda Global Network, which Álvaro leads under the leadership and oversight of Dr. Wayman Ming Jr.

Álvaro and Linda have been married for 48 years. Together they have five children and six grandchildren.
