Dr. Wayman Ming Jr. serves as Lead Pastor/Bishop of Bethesda Community Church and provides leadership and oversight for Bethesda Global Network. A passionate advocate for the global mission of the Church, he has traveled to more than 45 nations seeking to inspire spiritual reformation for Kingdom advancement.

He believes maintaining the global mission of the Church remains a biblical mandate for the body of Christ — a conviction he has carried into pulpits, conferences, and church leadership across those nations.

Serving the wider body of Christ.
From 2017 to 2024, Dr. Ming served as Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Church of God, a movement with congregations and members in nearly 90 nations.
He is the founder and president of Exceed International, a church coaching organization, and currently serves as Lead Pastor/Bishop of Bethesda Community Church and Bethesda Global Network in Fort Worth, Texas.
Formation & Writing
Personal reformation, intentionally pursued.
Dr. Ming earned his Doctor of Ministry from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
He believes personal reformation is possible for those who intentionally pursue God — a recurring theme across his books, Nearer to God, Re-Forming a New You, and Faith from a Ladder.
Family
Home in Fort Worth.
Dr. Ming is married to Kimberly. Together they have three children and five grandchildren.
He enjoys sipping a hot cup of French vanilla coffee in the mornings and spending time with Kimberly, their children, and grandchildren.
